Aquatic Diagnostic Student Research Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking one motivated undergraduate student to assist with a research project examining oyster behavioral responses to a harmful algal blooms (HABs) using video-based analysis. This position offers hands-on experience at the intersection of marine biology, animal behavior, and data analysis.
The student will review and annotate video recordings of oysters from various life stages exposed to the HAB known as Rust, quantifying behavioral responses such as valve movement, activity patterns, and response timing. Students will organize and manage video and behavioral datasets, assist with basic data summaries, and help document analysis methods. The person will work directly with the research lab manager or Dr. Sharon.

- Follow standard operating procedures and task lists
- Work well and respectively with other student workers and staff
